We’re back in full force, y’all! Apologies for the delay in updates, we had some technical issues to deal with. Everything should be resolved now, however, and regular updates will be resuming.

Today, I come bringing a special Tricia treat for y’all. The gallery has been updated with 57 rare, site-exclusive medium-res outtakes of Tricia Helfer’s stunning photoshoot for the March 2009 issue of Venice (US), scans of which are also available at our gallery. Needless to say most of these should be brand new to most of our visitors. A huge thank you to Katie for sending in this gem — the shoot is definitely one of my personal favorites! Enjoy.

Tricia at PaleyFest09 ‘BSG’/'Caprica’ presentation

We’re still undergoing some maintenance here, so for the time being updates will remain delayed. However, yesterday, April 20 2009, Tricia Helfer attended the PaleyFest09 ‘Battlestar Galactica’/'Caprica’ Presentation in Los Angeles, CA alongside other Battlestar Galactica cast and crew. Tricia was looking nothing shot of adorable in a light, patterned strapless mini and some (fabulous!) electric blue pumps. The gallery has been updated with our first 33 medium-res photos of a lovely Tricia at the event — expect many more medium- and hi-res additions once our technical difficulties are resolved!

Update Apr 26: The gallery has been updated with several medium- and hi-res photos of Tricia at this event! Furthermore, Galactica Sitrep has compiled a post of some great videos from the PaleyFest09 Battlestar Galactica/Caprica panel (featuring Tricia, of course!), which is definitely worth a look.

‘Hidden Crimes’ premieres May 22 in Canada

We have an update on Tricia Helfer’s involvement in Philippe Gagnon’s upcoming TV thriller, Hidden Crimes in which Tricia stars as Julia Carver opposite Jonathan Scarfe, Kristen Holden-Ried and James Gallanders. According to The Movie Network, Hidden Crimes premieres in Canada May 22 2009! Synopsis courtesy of The Movie Network:

When a ranger goes to jail for a robbery, his accomplices apply pressure to his sister and son to retrieve the missing money, forcing her to go on a desperate treasure hunt while time runs out on the boy’s life.

Just a quick heads-up to y’all that site updates here at Tricia Helfer Fan will in all likelihood be delayed until further notice due to technical complications at our end. We’re doing our best to patch things up, but until then updating, particularly with new media, will be difficult, as will reading and responding to new emails. We’ll of course be doing our best to keep you updated, particularly with any major news on Tricia should such surface, however don’t be surprised if we’re not quite as up to speed as usual. As you may have noticed, news on Tricia have slowed down for the time being. In the mean time, to keep your interests going we’ve updated the site with 16 rare, site-exclusive video clips of Tricia Helfer hosting the first season of the Canadian America’s Next Top Model-spinoff series, Canada’s Next Top Model. My apologies for the Finnish-language subtitles — unfortunately, subtitles are often burned onto foreign language series in my country, which makes it impossible for me to remove them. Enjoy these clips nonetheless! Still more clips coming up from the season’s last two episodes.

In the absence of Tricia news, the gallery has received more great HD cap additions! Beginning with perhaps the most significant batch of new caps, the gallery has been updated with 250+ site-exclusive HD screen captures of Tricia Helfer in Sci Fi’s latest (and to date last) Battlestar Galactica special, aptly titled Battlestar Galactica: The Last Frakkin’ Special.

The special features tons of great behind-the-scenes footage, particularly from Season 4 and Razor, in addition to comments from the main cast and crew, including Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Michael Hogan, Katee Sackhoff, James Callis, Tahmoh Penikett, Grace Park, Rekha Sharma, Michael Trucco — and, of course, Tricia Helfer. The entire feature is available for viewing at SciFi.com, and is definitely worth a watch! Stay tuned for clips.

The gallery has furthermore been been updated with HD screen captures of Tricia’s guest stint as Special Agent Alex Forrest on last Monday’s episode of the NBC series, Chuck, thus replacing the earlier medium-res caps, as well as HD replacement captures of Battlestar Galactica episode 4.19 “Daybreak: Part I” (we’re all about HD today!).
