Canadian actress and former model Tricia Helfer is one of Hollywood's rising acting talents, best known for her portrayal of humanoid Cylon Number Six on Syfy's critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica. More recently, Helfer has starred in e.g. Andrew Paquin’s Open House and can currently be seen as Alex Clark on NBC's The Firm. Helfer is also an active benefactor of animal and environmental causes.

To refresh your memories, check out the smoking hot video below, in which Tricia Helfer appears opposite Diora Baird, Sean Patrick Flanery, Corbin Bensen, Todd Bridges, Christian Serratos and The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach. The video was released in February 2011.
The first pictures are in! Check out these first two photos of Tricia Helfer at the ongoing2010 Spike Video Game Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Tricia is looking absolutely stunning at the event in a strapless sparkly Alice + Olivia dress. Tons more VGA pics coming up!
Tricia is nominated at this year’s VGAs for Best Performance by a Human Female for voicing Sarah Kerrigan in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. The show will begin in 15 minutes; fingers crossed she’ll win!
Update: We now have 11 photos of Tricia at the still ongoing VGAs in the gallery. Nothing on Tricia’s category yet…
Update 2: Well, the show’s over, but still nothing on Tricia’s category. According to Wikipedia, this is the first time not all awards were awarded during the show, and it would appear the Best Performance by a Human Female-category is one of those that got left out of it. We’ll just have to wait for an announcement, I guess.
Update Dec 12: Tricia winsBest Performance by a Human Female! Congratulations! Shame we didn’t get to see it happen. Or as Tricia herself put it via her official Twitter account @trutriciahelfer…
Ya, it’s pretty lame that best human male got airtime but not best human female. What era are we in? (Dec 12)
Our thoughts exactly. Meanwhile, though, we have more new pics + the first HQs in the gallery!
To begin with, Tricia will be on hand at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards, where she is up for Best Performance by a Human Female for voicing Sarah Kerrigan in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. The VGAs will be broadcast live on Spike this Saturday, December 11 beginning 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT. Catch it if you can!
Going to be at Spike’s #VGA (video game awards) on Sat. I’m up for Best Performance by a Human Female for #Starcraft. Should be fun! (Dec 9)
I’m wearing a short little sparkly number by Alice & Olivia. (Dec 9)
Not perhaps the most career-oriented of recognitions, but worth a mention nonetheless. According to Just Jared and several other news sources, Tricia Helfer has landed in 55th place in Maxim‘s annual Hot 100 line-up of women (though the official list has yet to be published on the Maxim website). In 2009, Tricia placed 75th on the list, which means she’s climbed up 20 places from last year. Bet Tricia and Grace Park’s (60.) last year’s Maxim cover feature had something to do with that. Congrats, Tricia!
Apologies for the lack of updates here lately; we’ve simply had nothing new to report on Tricia. We’ll be returning soon with some new clips, though, so please check back with us again some time later.
We do have some a small news update for you today. The people at AskMen.com as well as my good friend Filip @ Cameron Diaz Fan have alerted me to Tricia Helfer being featured in 70th place on AskMen.com’s annual list of Top 99 Most Desirable Women. According to the website, six million votes were cast over a period of six weeks, and in the results Tricia was able to beat such names as Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, Anna Paquin, Diane Kruger and Angelina Jolie.
“These lists are a funny thing because there’s not anything I can do to be on it or off of it — so thanks guys, for voting me on it!”
70. Tricia Helfer
• played humanoid Cylon Number Six on Battlestar Galactica, until March 2009
• won the Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World contest when she was just 18 years old
• hails from rural Alberta, Canada
• posed nude for the February 2007 issue of Playboy
• plays a dominatrix in Walk All Over Me opposite Leelee Sobieski
You can still vote on their website on whether you would’ve ranked her higher or lower than 70th this year. Congrats, Tricia!
As reported earlier, Tricia Helfer appeared as planned at yesterday‘s 2009 Spike TV Video Game Awards, held in Los Angeles, CA. As promised, here’s our coverage of her appearance at the event.
As per usual, Tricia looked absolutely stunning(!!) at the event, this time in a peach strapless mini and updo. As most of you will know, Tricia was up for the VG Award for Best Performance by a Human Female for her portrayal of Dare in the Halo 3: ODST video game. She furthermore presented on her own a Halo: Reach teaser trailer at the event. Unfortunately, the winning act in the Human Female category turned out to be Megan Fox in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Bummer.
Onto our gallery update. We’ve just uploaded to our gallery our first 57 medium- and hi-res photos of a lovely Tricia at the event. As always, we’ll be sure to add more medium- and hi-res pictures as well as video footage from the event as we find them. Be sure to check back with us for updates!

Although Tricia attending the awards show remains at this point unconfirmed, some will here recall her May 2009(!) appearance on the GameTrailers TV E3 ’09 First Look Special, where she said to “hope” to be able to attend the event. We hope so too! The 2009 Spike TV Video Game Awards will take place on December 12 in Los Angeles, CA.

Tricia never disappoints! Last Saturday, August 1 2009, Tricia Helfer attended the 25th Annual Television Critics Association Awards in Pasadena, CA alongside fellow Battlestar Galactica cast members Grace Park and Katee Sackhoff. Tricia was looking absolutely amazing in a strapless cocktail dress — one of my favorite looks by her yet! Check out the first 17 medium- and hi-res photos of her at the event at our gallery.
The Battlestar Galactica series received the TCA Program of the Year Award at the ceremony. A well-deserved award for a fantastic concluding season! Congratulations, Team BSG!
Yesterday, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 2009 Emmy Awards, and Syfy’s critically acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica is nominated in six categories! Unfortunately, however, and to our great disappointment, Tricia Helfer was not nominated for her (brilliant!) portrayal of Cylon Number Six — nor, in fact, were any other Battlestar Galactica cast members for their respective performances on the show. What a letdown. From Emmys.tv:
