Looks like it’s that time of the year again! FHM has opened voting for their annual Sexiest Women in the World poll, and Tricia Helfer is once again one of the candidates for the title. Last year, Tricia placed 73rd on the list, a notch higher from her 2007 listing of 79th — let’s vote her higher this year, y’all! Please visit FHM.com to vote Tricia FHM’s Sexiest Woman in World 2009! You know she is a stunner. Description from FHM.com:
I ride a Harley and it gets you a lot of attention from men, but the only people who seem to recognise me are guys at the fishmarket or guys in the pharmacy…”
Part Norwegian, part Swedish and – less pleasingly – part German, blonde Canadian actress Tricia Helfer was always going to be a looker (or just extremely efficient/good at skinning whales), so it’s not much of a surprise that she was spotted aged 17 by a model scout while queuing to see a film.
By 2002, she was bored of mincing for photographers and moved to LA where she started acting, achieving considerable fame as the seductive platinum blonde Number Six in Battlestar Galactica. Six is a robot, but the kind of robot you’d give your liver for – tall, sultry and probably programmable to do all sorts of illegal stuff. Kindly, Trish posed topless in the February 2007 issue of Playboy.

Things are admittedly quiet with Tricia right now. Keep in mind, however, that things will definitely turn around this upcoming January, with Tricia’s regular appearances on Sci Fi’s Battlestar Galactica and USA Network’s Burn Notice. Here’s a little something to keep you warm whilst awaiting the upcoming seasons of both series respectively: Maxim magazine has named Tricia Helfer’s sexy and manipulative humanoid Cylon Number Six on the aforementioned acclaimed Sci Fi series as one of their “Hottest Women of Fall TV ‘08″. From Maxim.com:
The Hottest Women of Fall TV ‘08
As fall turns to winter, the temperature outside seems to drop in direct correlation to the rising hotness of the woman appearing on our TV screens. It’s science.
Number Six (Tricia Helfer), Battlestar Galactica
Tricia Helfer’s got those eye-popping curves and golden locks that harken back to simpler days, when any leading lady gracing the screen had to be a flat-out sexpot. And as an ageless “Cylon” on the Battlestar Galactica reboot, Helfer proves once again that, yes, our therapist was right, we have a robot sex fetish.

Unfortunately, despite our high hopes, Tricia was evidently not present at yesterday’s 2008 Spike TV Scream Awards in Los Angeles, California. The first photos of celebrities attending the event have already surfaced online, and unfortunately Tricia is not among them. Sorry, guys!
Furthermore, Tricia was nominated for the Best Actress (Science Fiction) Scream Award for her portrayal of humanoid Cylon Number Six on Sci Fi’s Battlestar Galactica. The award, however, went to actress-model Milla Jovovich for Resident Evil: Extinction. Battlestar Galactica was regrettably unsuccessful in the other two categories the series was nominated in as well; while the award for Best TV Show went to Showtime’s Dexter, the Best Actor (Science Fiction) award for which Edward James “Admiral Adama” Olmos was nominated went to Iron Man-star Robert Downey Jr.
