Surprise! With news on Tricia having slowed down for the time being, we’ll instead be updating the site with new material in the coming weeks, material that we confess we’ve been sitting on for some time now.
Today, we have prepared a big media update for you on Walk All Over Me, the 2007 Canadian indie crime dramedy from writer-director Robert Cuffley starring Tricia Helfer as Celene opposite Leelee Sobieski, Michael Adamthwaite and Lothaire Bluteau. While the photo gallery has been updated with 1189 DVD screen captures of Tricia’s performance, thus replacing our earlier medium-res caps from the movie, the media archive has been updated with 16 site-exclusive video clips of Tricia in the film, all of which we hope you’ll enjoy browsing through! Personally, Walk All Over Me is my favorite of Tricia’s films, and her thrilling performance is definitely worth a watch.
All movie clips are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. VLC and QuickTime. While our photos are accessible to everyone, please remember you must be a registered and logged in media archive user to access our collection of video clips; unlogged users will not be able to view said material. Registration at our media archive is free and only takes a moment. Thank you.

It was a while ago since we had any news on Walk All Over Me. Today, however, I have 983 wonderful, if only medium-res, screen captures of Tricia’s brilliant portrayal of Celene for you, which I hope you’ll enjoy. If anyone is able to send in better quality captures, please do so! The Region 1 DVD does unfortunately not work for me. Meanwhile, enjoy these caps.
By the way, I have to add Tricia is simply phenomenal as Celene. What a brilliant performance! I highly suggest checking out the movie if it is available to you; the casting is spot-on, while the script is terribly funny.

The 2008 award finalists for the Alberta Film & Television Awards have been announced, and Walk All Over Me has been nominated in no less than six categories! Unfortunately, Tricia was not nominated for her performance (it would seem only Albertan residents can be nominated). The film, however, is nominated for an award in the following categories:
• Best Director, Drama
• Best Editor, Drama
• Best Feature Film
• Best Music Video
• Best Original Music Score, Drama
• Best Screenwriter, Drama
Check out all the nominees at ampia.org! Congratulations to the Walk All Over Me production team for the well-deserved nominations!

Things are a wee bit quiet with Tricia right now. However, her latest film, the Robert Cuffley-directed crime drama comedyWalk All Over Me, was recently reviewed by Peter Hodkinson of DVDFeed.com.au, who seems to have loved Tricia’s performance and gave the film an overall rating of 8/10. From DVDFeed.com.au:
Luckily, Celene is a fantastic character and Tricia Helfer plays her perfectly, quickly endearing herself to the viewer.
Tricia Helfer is perfect as the tough, controlling dominatrix Celene. Beautiful and strong, her fight scene is brilliant and very well directed. Small budget films can sometimes live and die by their physical occurrences, but this one is brilliant. The other standout performance comes from Lothaire Bluteau, who plays the criminal mastermind Rene.
With wonderful performances by Lothaire Bluteau and Tricia Helfer, Walk All Over Me will tickle you just where you like it.

Tricia and Walk All Over Me have been garnering some Canadian press attention of late. Here’s a summary of what’s worth a look. Kicking things off with Western Canadian movie magazine Reel West, which features an interview with Walk All Over Me-director Robert Cuffley in their January-February 2008 issue. Tricia and co-star Leelee Sobieski grace the cover in appropriate Walk All Over Me dominatrix gear. Thanks to Tricia’s official site for the heads-up.
Furthermore, The Montreal Gazette recently published a rather mixed review on Walk All Over Me, but commented positively on Tricia’s performance. Read the review in its entirety at Canada.com, below is the excerpt regarding Tricia:
Again, to Cuffley’s credit, he creates characters who are inherently seductive. Both Alberta and Celine are fascinating studies of femininity and female stereotypes, and both Sobieski and Helfer bring incredible depth to the fore – but we never get enough moments between the two of them to suck on the marrow of the story.
Finally, we have another Canadian article centering on Tricia herself. The Calgary Herald recently sat down with Tricia for an interview, which you can read in its entirety at Canada.com. That’s all!

I just got word that Robert Cuffley’s dominatrix crime drama Walk All Over Me, in which Tricia portrays Celene alongside Leelee Sobieski, will be screened a the Shadows of the Mind Film Festival in Canada. No word on whether Tricia will be attending the event or not, but the festival official site reports many filmmakers are scheduled to make an appearance, which may or may not include Tricia. Nor have the festival organizers announced any specifics regarding the date and time of the screening, however the event will run February 19-24 2008. Check the Shadow Film Festival official site for details and tickets.
A darkly comedic thriller laced with love, latex and empowerment. A small town girl, Alberta (Sobieski), struggles to control her fate when she takes on her roommate Celene’s (Helfer) identity as a dominatrix to pay the bills. It all begins when she meets Paul (Tierney), her first customer, who isn’t all that weird actually, but surprisingly young and attractive. In the midst of their strange, sexually charged role-play, they are interrupted by a trio of criminals who make it clear they aren’t leaving until Paul hands over the half million dollars they’re convinced he stole from them. When it becomes apparent that Paul is not going to reveal the whereabouts of the cash, the trio targets Alberta, thrusting her and Celene into leading roles in this dangerous game. Only Celene’s self-defense skills and Alberta’s adrenaline-powered panic allows them to overpower the team of criminals. When Celene is caught and held captive by the trio, Alberta has to find the courage to make the most difficult choice of her life.
Furthermore, I was able to find another medium-res photo belonging to Tricia’s Walk All Over Me promoshoot with co-star Leelee Sobieski. Click on the above preview to see it!

ShowBizMonkeys posted about a week back an interview with Tricia Helfer and Walk All Over Me-director Robert Cullfey, which I thought you might be interested in. The article is mainly concerned with the production of Walk All Over Me, but, as the author puts it, what would a Tricia interview be without some Battlestar Galactica questions? From ShowBizMonkeys:
MM: Now being that I write for the internet, I’d be shot if I didn’t ask at least one BSG question, so here it is. There have been rumors that due to the writers’ strike, part of the fourth season may not air.
TH: We shot 12. We were picked up for 22 – two of them in the beginning of the season were Razor. (So) we shot 14 so far, so we have 8 more to go. As far as we know, we’re coming back to shoot the remaining 8. Who knows what is going to happen. I certainly don’t have a crystal ball. If the strike goes on long enough, yeah, with any show there’s a possibility that will be the final episode. What we’ve shot will air, absolutely; I think it’s scheduled to start airing in April. Because it was 20 episodes, I think they were going to show 10 in April 08 and then hold 10 for technically a 5th season even though we would have filmed it all at once. But technically a 5th season for the end of ‘08 or beginning of ‘09. That’s what might change. They may air all 12 episodes as Season 4 and there won’t be a season 5.
MM: Can the story wrap there at the end of the 12 that are shot?
TH: Where we are could be season-ending. I know with certainty, that’s not how the series is supposed to end. Without giving away any spoilers, that certainly could be season-ending, but again, who knows. I don’t know what’s going to happen. All I know is that when we left the last day of filming, everybody thought we were coming back for the final 8 episodes. Only time will tell.
