As some will recall, some year ago Tricia Helfer filmed the FOX drama pilot Inseparable as a result of her April 2008 talent holding deal with the network. The pilot, however, was unfortunately not picked up for FOX’s Fall/Winter 2009-10 lineup.
Although we are likely not to hear anything more from this pilot on an official level, we’ve today been able to update the gallery with 10 rare, site-exclusive photos of Tricia shooting the pilot episode in September 2008 in Vancouver, Canada. This is likely to be the first and last look we’ll ever get at Tricia as Rae Wicks (or Mason Wicks, according to some reports), so we do hope you enjoy this special treat from us.

In the absence of fresher news, we instead have a lovely little update on last December’s 2nd Annual Fur Ball at the Skirball Kitten Rescue Fundraiser, which Tricia Helfer attended alongside husband Jonathan Marshall. The event was hosted by The Office-actress Jenna Fischer, and was also attended by Tricia’s Battlestar Galactica co-stars Tahmoh Penikett and Katee Sackhoff.
We’ve updated the gallery with 7 medium-res photos of Tricia and Jonathan at the event, courtesy of the Kitten Rescue Flickr photo stream. These are the first photos we’ve had from inside the event venue (and of Jonathan at the event), and particularly nice since there has been only a handful of photos available to us from this event to begin with. The pictures furthermore reveal that Tricia and Jonathan purchased the $1,250 “Angel Table” for the event.
Finally, please consider making a donation to Kitten Rescue, the Los Angeles-based no-kill animal shelter and one of Tricia’s dearest animal charities:
Kitten Rescue spends nearly $300,000 a year on its cats and rescue programs. Most of this money comes from the generosity of private donors like you. Whether you are visiting us from just around the corner or from across several continents, you can touch the lives of the many deserving, wonderful animals in our care. There are many ways you can help, and every dollar means so much. The kitties thank you for your support!
Please visit KittenRescue.org to donate!

At last, some news, and some great news at that! TrueBlood-Online.com reports the upcoming Andrew Paquin-directed horror thriller Open House, in which Tricia Helfer stars as Lila opposite Rachel Blanchard and Brian Geraghty, will be screening at the 9th Annual Tribeca Film Festival in New York. This year’s festival runs April 21-May 2. Report from TrueBlood-Online.com:
The film Open House, has been accepted to the ninth annual Tribeca Film Festival which will take place in New York City from April 21 to May 2, 2010.
As we have previously reported, Open House is a film starring Tricia Helfer, Rachel Blanchard and Brian Geraghty and is Andrew Paquin’s directorial debut. True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin (Andrew is Anna’s brother) will make a cameo appearance playing the characters Jennie and Josh. The horror/thriller movie, shot in Los Angeles, tells the story of a wealthy couple in a strained marriage that hosts an open house in order to sell their palatial home. They are horrified to find out days later that one potential buyer never left their house.
As of yet, we don’t know whether or not Tricia is planning to attend the event, but we should be no means rule out the possibility of her doing so. We’ll be sure to post more information on the film, its festival screening and ticket sales as it becomes available to us. This is good news, though; hopefully this means we’ll soon get a first look of some kind of Tricia in the film!

As you will have noticed, things continue to be quiet with Tricia Helfer for the time being. We hope things will pick up soon, though. Meanwhile, have a look at this interesting and insightful article from Pet News and Views, about Tricia’s animal activism and work in support of the Los Angeles-based animal shelter, Kitten Rescue:
Tricia Helfer has always loved cats. When she is away from home, her husband, Jonathan Marshall, sends her updates and photos of each one of their cats. “He knows how important they are to me,” she says. “And in my line of work, it’s nice to know that while I’m away, they are in excellent hands.” Jonathan, who works as an attorney, “is a big animal supporter,” she says. “When we met, he quickly fell in love with my two cats.”
Their family has since grown; there are a few tabbies, a couple of Maine Coons, and a few fosters from Kitten Rescue Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter in Los Angeles. The Sanctuary has a full-time staff as well as numerous volunteers who provide care, love, and socialization for the cats housed there. Since its inception in 1997, Kitten Rescue has grown to become one of the largest animal welfare groups in Los Angeles. Kitten Rescue places approximately 1,000 cats and kittens into new homes every year.
Tricia, who played Number 6 in Battlestar Galactica, found out about Kitten Rescue three years ago while shopping at a local pet store. “One of the employees asked all of the customers to make donations to Kitten Rescue,” she says. “When I handed her a check, she hugged me, and when I was ready to adopt another cat, I adopted from Kitten Rescue. I was so impressed with the Kitten Rescue that I became a volunteer there.”
[...] “Tricia has really been a blessing for Kitten Rescue,” says Ben Lehrer of Kitten Rescue. “Not only has she been incredibly generous in both her personal contributions and in helping with our fundraising efforts, but she has been more than willing to delve into the trenches of street rescue and take on litters of abandoned kittens herself. Her selflessness and enthusiasm are remarkable and we are very fortunate to have her as a member of our team.”

As promised, we’ve updated the media archive with new clips today. Check out 11 new site-exclusive video clips of Tricia Helfer reprising the role of humanoid Cylon Number Six in Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, the Edward James Olmos-directed second BSG TV movie that was released on Region 1/North American DVD and Blu-Ray last October and premiered on TV January 10 2010 (via Syfy, of course). Among other Six copies, Shelly Godfrey and a new “Tough Six” make prominent appearances in The Plan.
Personally, although I’m never one to say no to new Battlestar Galactica, The Plan just didn’t live up to my expectations. To me, the mystery that revolved certain characters, events and phenomena was such a pivotal part of the entire series that I thought the entire approach to the BSG universe in The Plan, to explain all the previously unexplained, wasn’t really what I would’ve liked to see. Although Tricia as Six was an enormous pleasure to watch as always, her contribution to The Plan as a whole isn’t considerable (though she does have a truly great scene as Six copy Gina, with Grace Park’s Boomer).
All clips are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. VLC and QuickTime. Please remember you must be a registered and logged in media archive user to access our collection of video clips; unlogged users will not be able to view said material. Registration at our media archive is free and only takes a moment. Thank you.
Spoiler Warning: Please note that some of the following clips contain major spoilers as to the outcome of this film and Battlestar Galactica in general.

“Funny, my phone has the same ring… Strange, don’t you think that we both have the same… Wait a second. That is my phone. You stole my phone.”
- Stephanie
Despite last night’s exciting Golden Globes, we hope you were nevertheless able to tune in to the Human Target series premiere, as aired yesterday on FOX. As most of you will know, Tricia Helfer guest starred in the episode as Stephanie, the client. Here’s our recap of the episode; as always, please highlight to read as it contains spoilers:
Four weeks after an explosive case, “human target” Christopher Chance is approached with a new assignment by Stephanie, a bullet train engineer whose life has come under threat for unknown reason. Chance is immediately on board, and infiltrates Stephanie’s entourage as her new translator, fluent in Japanese. On the train’s maiden voyage, Chance plans to lure out the killer by exposing Stephanie to him, and when he finally strikes, Chance is able to take him out. But with the train’s brakes being sabotaged and suffering critical damage, it now becomes uncertain whether any of them will make it off the train alive, all the while Chance and his friends try to figure out who’s really trying to get Stephanie killed…
What did you think of the new pilot? Personally, I was expecting it to be a lot more like USA Network’s Burn Notice, and was pleased to see the pilot instead held its own. Tricia Helfer was also great in her role, even though she didn’t get a lot of meaningful things to say; most of the punchlines were given to Mark Valley’s Christopher Chance.
Media coverage-wise, we’ve updated the gallery with 783 medium-res screen captures of Tricia on the show. We’ll be replacing these caps with HD ones as soon as possible, and will also upload video clips from this episode soon, so do check back with us for those. In the mean time, enjoy the first caps!
