I just love regular updates, don’t you? Monsters & Critics have a moderately spoiler-y overview of the first upcoming post-hiatus episode of USA Network’s spy series, Burn Notice, on which Tricia regularly guest stars as Carla. I won’t give anything away here, should you wish to remain spoiler-free, however I think we can safely look forward to Tricia reprising her role in the upcoming episode. From Monsters & Critics, please highlight to read:
Whoever tried to kill him also killed Carla’s sniper and jeopardized her operation. Furious, Carla (Tricia Helfer) Michael’s new handler and a known ruthless operative, wants the bomber caught, but Michael sees the bomber as his chance to get a leg up on her – and ultimately find out who is pulling the strings.
In other Burn Notice news, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has been renewed for a third season by the USA Network as of October 2008. Congratulations, y’all! Hopefully, Tricia will also be appearing in Season 3 episodes. Fingers crossed!
Burn Notice episode 2.10 “Do No Harm” airs on January 22 2009 on USA Network. As always, stay tuned to us for coverage! Finally, Happy New Year 2009, y’all!

I hope everyone was able to tune in last Thursday to the terrific mid-season finale of Burn Notice! Here’s our coverage of episode 2.09 “Good Soldier”, starting with an episode recap; please highlight to read, as usual:
Michael’s hard work to find out more about his mysterious new handler Carla is finally beginning to pay off, and not only is he close to finding out what Carla and the people behind her are planning, he even has her tailed at a high-end Miami hotel by Sam. Sam’s frequent tail reports indicate Carla’s planned hit on an as-of-yet unknown target is about to take place soon, but Michael’s plans to spoil the hit for her are complicated by his latest job of helping a man called Henry to foil a kidnapping, as well as Michael’s brother Nate’s new limo company. However, Carla quickly catches on to Michael’s doings and applies pressure to him through Nate, who is suddenly arrested and accused by the authorities of using his new limo company as a cover for money laundering. A cat-and-mouse motorcycle race between Michael and Carla ensues, and just as Michael thinks he has beat his opponent, the race turns deadly as Carla and her people make a serious attempt at Michael’s life, and he soon realizes he only won the battle, not the war.
What an exciting mid-season finale! Tricia was simply stunning on the show, as always, though she was given few lines to speak in this episode. I’ve updated the gallery with some 150 medium-res screen captures of Tricia in the episode — stay tuned for better quality caps as well as site-exclusive video clips soon. Meanwhile, enjoy the the new footage.

While at the August 25 NVISION ‘08 conference in San Jose, CA, Tricia revealed some new details about her ongoing and upcoming projects. Here’s what we picked up from her NVISION keynote speech:
• On August 26, Tricia flew to Miami, FL to film another episode of USA Network’s spy series Burn Notice. On the show, Tricia plays Carla, Michael Westen’s attractive and mysterious new handler. Tricia promises Carla will get to do some “fun stuff” in coming episodes.
• Next week, once filming wraps up for Tricia in Miami, she will fly to Vancouver, Canada to shoot the upcoming Fox drama pilot Inseparable, in which she portrays cop psychologist Mason Wicks.
• Tricia also hinted of her possible involvement in the upcoming Battlestar Galactica TV movie we reported earlier. According to her, filming should begin this September.
