Don’t forget Tricia Helfer will be in Atlanta, Georgia next week for the 2011 Dragon*Con!

Fans at Dragon*Con, running September 2-5, are in for a real treat this year’s as Battlestar Galactica‘s Aaron Douglas, Richard Hatch, Michael Hogan, Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Tahmoh Penikett and Mark A. Sheppard are also all confirmed guests at the event. Also going are Adam Baldwin, Julie Benz and Eddie McClintock, whom you’ll recall from Tricia’s guest appearances on Chuck, No Ordinary Family and Warehouse 13 respectively. Details and tix at www.dragoncon.org.
Although Tricia is currently in Toronto, Canada filming The Firm, the Dragon*Con website has nothing on any cancellation of her appearance, so presumably she’s still planning to attend despite her present commitment in Toronto.
Update Aug 30: Tricia has confirmed on Twitter that she IS going to Dragon*Con.

With Tricia Helfer’s guest starring episode on the brand new Syfy series Warehouse 13 airing today, IGN.com have published an interview with Tricia as well as a first clip of her on the show on their website. From IGN.com:
IGN: Though your character on Warehouse 13 isn’t nearly as hard as the one on Chuck.
Helfer: No. The thing with the Chuck character was she was supposed to be completely by the book – much more like Casey. She was so much like Casey, that Casey was attracted to her… until he realized she was more by the book than him and kind of made him realize that sometimes the way Sarah does things may be better. But with Bonnie Belski, she’s by the book, but she’s not as hard edged.
IGN: How did the guest role on Warehouse 13 come about?
Helfer: Obviously I’ve been on SCI FI Channel for the past five years and it’s a new show of theirs. It was just wanting to support the network and support a new show that they’re doing. I hadn’t seen it, obviously, because it’s a brand new show, so you’re kind of going off of your trust in their judgment. It’s a fun show. When I was actually up there shooting, I watched the pilot, which was a rough cut. I think they’ve got something really fun there, and it’s kind of got that Moonlighting vibe. The two lead actors do the “I love you but I hate you” thing very well. They’ve got a really good chemistry. And they were lovely to work with. Eddie is a real sweetheart and Joanne was great to work with as well.

In the absence of Tricia news, the gallery has received more great HD cap additions! Beginning with perhaps the most significant batch of new caps, the gallery has been updated with 250+ site-exclusive HD screen captures of Tricia Helfer in Sci Fi’s latest (and to date last) Battlestar Galactica special, aptly titled Battlestar Galactica: The Last Frakkin’ Special.
The special features tons of great behind-the-scenes footage, particularly from Season 4 and Razor, in addition to comments from the main cast and crew, including Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Michael Hogan, Katee Sackhoff, James Callis, Tahmoh Penikett, Grace Park, Rekha Sharma, Michael Trucco — and, of course, Tricia Helfer. The entire feature is available for viewing at SciFi.com, and is definitely worth a watch! Stay tuned for clips.
The gallery has furthermore been been updated with HD screen captures of Tricia’s guest stint as Special Agent Alex Forrest on last Monday’s episode of the NBC series, Chuck, thus replacing the earlier medium-res caps, as well as HD replacement captures of Battlestar Galactica episode 4.19 “Daybreak: Part I” (we’re all about HD today!). Check them all out at the gallery, and stay tuned for clips from both episodes! Don’t forget to refresh your browser if you suspect you’re still seeing the old images.

“Get used to it. I’m gonna go clean my weapons.”
- Alex Forrest
Hopefully, y’all were able to tune in last night to Tricia Helfer guest starring as Special Agent Alex Forrest on the hit NBC spy series, Chuck, starring Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovksi. Here’s our recap of episode 2.18 “Chuck Versus the Broken Heart”, please highlight to read:
Coming home from work, General Beckman informs Chuck he is too emotionally attached to his current handler Sarah Walker, and that they would have to do a “49-B”. This turns out to be an evaluation of Walker’s job performance, which is to be conducted by trigger-happy Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Forrest. The team is then sent to Captain Awesome’s hospital, where Chuck is to identify Rahman Assad, a man associated with a well-known terrorist. Assad is a the hospital under another name to undergo surgery to get a pacemaker, and a tracking device planted on it is meant to lead the agency to the terrorist’s hideout. Posing as a doctor and nurse respectively, Chuck and Agent Forrest infiltrate the hospital, where Chuck is mistaken for Assad’s surgeon. However, to slip the bug into the pacemaker, Casey needs Awesome’s keycard for access, and a very reluctant Chuck agrees. At Awesome’s bachelor party, Agent Forrest surprises everyone, not the least Chuck and Casey, by showing up as a “hired” pole dancer. Rendering Awesome unconscious, Forrest snags his keycard and the bug is successfully planted. Walker is dismissed by General Beckman as a result of Forrest’s evaluation, but when the bug is discovered and Chuck is kidnapped, Walker turns out to be irreplaceable as Chuck’s protection, and Forrest is dismissed as Chuck’s new handler. Meanwhile, Captain Awesome comes close to discovering Chuck’s secret on several occasions, and finds his engagement in crisis when Ellie stumbles on some risqué photos of Awesome and Forrest, the “pole dancer”. Chuck and Walker track down Chuck’s father and go to meet him post-assignment.
There’s no denying Tricia’s onscreen turn as Alex Forrest was smokin’! I hope you enjoyed it. The gallery has been updated with 624 medium-res screen captures of Tricia’s performance, as well as 13 new medium- and hi-res promotional stills from the episode; check back with us soon for video clips and (hopefully) HD caps!

Some miscellaneous TV project-related Tricia Helfer photos for you today. The gallery has just been updated with another great promotional still of Tricia as Special Agent Alex Forrest in the upcoming episode 2.18 “Chuck Versus the Broken Heart” of NBC’s hit spy series, Chuck. The episode airs tomorrow, March 30 2009 at 8/7c, and we’ll of course be sure to cover it!
The gallery has furthermore been updated with two new hi-res promotional stills of the Battlestar Galactica series finale, episode 4.20 “Daybreak: Part II”, in which Tricia stars as humanoid Cylon Number Six, as most of you will know. Finally, the medium-res caps of Tricia as Michael’s handler Carla in episode 2.16 “Lesser Evil” of USA Network’s spy series, Burn Notice, have been replaced with roughly the same amount of HD screen captures. If you suspect you’re still seeing the old thumbnails, try refreshing your browser for a fresh view. Enjoy!
With Tricia currently filming pilot season projects in Vancouver, I expect news on her to slow down for the time being. Thus, to keep your interests going, we’ll be showering you with regular media updates. Coming up in the way of new media are HD screen captures of the last two episodes of Battlestar Galactica, screen captures of Battlestar Galactica: The Last Frakkin’ Special featuring some great behind the scenes-footage of Tricia as Six, caps of Tricia’s tomorrow’s Chuck guest stint, as well as video clips of all aforementioned episodes + new scans and some very rare Canada’s Next Top Model media gems.
