On January 17, Tricia guest starred in the pilot episode of FOX’s brand new action series, Human Target, starring Mark Valley, Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley. Tricia starred in the episode as Stephanie Dobbs, “human target” Christopher Chance’s latest client and the engineer of the California bullet train whose life is unexpectedly threatened for an unknown reason.
“Funny, my phone has the same ring… Strange, don’t you think that we both have the same… Wait a second. That is my phone. You stole my phone.”
- Stephanie
Despite last night’s exciting Golden Globes, we hope you were nevertheless able to tune in to the Human Target series premiere, as aired yesterday on FOX. As most of you will know, Tricia Helfer guest starred in the episode as Stephanie, the client. Here’s our recap of the episode; as always, please highlight to read as it contains spoilers:
Four weeks after an explosive case, “human target” Christopher Chance is approached with a new assignment by Stephanie, a bullet train engineer whose life has come under threat for unknown reason. Chance is immediately on board, and infiltrates Stephanie’s entourage as her new translator, fluent in Japanese. On the train’s maiden voyage, Chance plans to lure out the killer by exposing Stephanie to him, and when he finally strikes, Chance is able to take him out. But with the train’s brakes being sabotaged and suffering critical damage, it now becomes uncertain whether any of them will make it off the train alive, all the while Chance and his friends try to figure out who’s really trying to get Stephanie killed…
What did you think of the new pilot? Personally, I was expecting it to be a lot more like USA Network’s Burn Notice, and was pleased to see the pilot instead held its own. Tricia Helfer was also great in her role, even though she didn’t get a lot of meaningful things to say; most of the punchlines were given to Mark Valley’s Christopher Chance.
Media coverage-wise, we’ve updated the gallery with 783 medium-res screen captures of Tricia on the show. We’ll be replacing these caps with HD ones as soon as possible, and will also upload video clips from this episode soon, so do check back with us for those. In the mean time, enjoy the first caps!
Don’t forget to check out Tricia Helfer guest starring as California bullet train engineer Stephanie in the pilot episode of Human Target, the brand new FOX action series starring Mark Valley and Chi McBride. The new series premieres today, January 17 @ 8 PM on FOX. As always, we’ll be sure to cover her appearance on the show, so don’t forget to check back with us soon for coverage!
It’s been a while since we last had any news on FOX’s upcoming Human Target series! However, some two days ago, the network revealed another promotional TV spot for the show via their YouTube account, which features glimpses of Tricia Helfer’s pilot performance (most of which we have already seen, however). As many of you will know, Tricia guest stars in the pilot episode of the show as Stephanie, the client. Human Target stars Mark Valley and Chi McBride, and premieres January 17 2010 on FOX. Check out the TV spot below!
Although it’s been rather quiet with Tricia of late we do have a small update for you today. The gallery has been updated with the first two medium-res promotional stills of Tricia Helfer guest starring as Stephanie, the client in the pilot episode of FOX’s upcoming Human Target series, courtesy of Human Target Online. The show premieres January 17 2010.
As reported yesterday, IGN.com recently published an interview with Tricia Helfer, in which she discusses some of her recent television projects. In addition to being an interesting article, the interview also contains some small new details regarding some of her upcoming projects besides her Warehouse 13-appearance, i.e. Syfy’s upcoming TV movie Battlestar Galactica: The Plan and the FOX pilots Human Target and Inseparable respectively. Those of you didn’t have a look at the article, here’s the news in a nutshell, from IGN:
• Battlestar Galactica: The Plan: According to Tricia, Syfy’s The Plan, airing November 2009, will be a look at what happened more than anything from the respective perspectives of Cylons Brother Cavil (Dean Stockwell) and Samuel T. Anders (Michael Trucco), and that Six in the film is a smaller character by comparison:
It’s really from Brother Cavil and Sam Anders’ [perspective]. Their storylines are the lead storylines in The Plan. [...] So I’m kind of a smaller character in The Plan, but it was definitely fun to get to go back and do some of those characters – and also bring a new character to life. In the script she was called Tough Six. She’s a brunette one and definitely a heavy drinker and is a harder edged Six than we’ve seen, so she was really fun to play. It was kind of like, “Damn, why couldn’t she have been in the series?! That would have been fun!” [Laughs]
• Inseparable: Tricia confirms the FOX pilot Inseparable, in which she was set to star as psychologist Rae Wicks and was filmed last year, isn’t happening:
I was actually shooting a pilot for FOX called Inseparable, that didn’t end up going anywhere, at the same time.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, considering the show is not on the FOX Fall/Winter 2009-10 schedule. We’ve now removed this project from our list of upcoming work for Tricia. What a shame, though.
• Human Target: We finally have a name for Tricia’s guest role in the pilot episode of FOX’s Human Target series: Stephanie. As most of you will know, the series premieres January 17 2010.
More Human Target updates! Check out two preview clips from the series pilot episode guest starring Tricia Helfer below, courtesy of FOX. There are two more sans Tricia over at Comedy Centric. Human Target premieres January 17 2010 on FOX.

- Tricia Helfer on Human Target
FOX recently revealed a number of trailers for their upcoming Spring 2010 shows, including Human Target, the pilot episode of which Tricia Helfer stars in. According to DVRPlayground.com, the series premieres January 17 2010 on FOX — be sure to mark the date in your calendars! Check out the two trailers below or alternatively our medium-res trailer screen captures of Tricia on the show at our gallery. Can’t wait for the pilot! Series synopsis courtesy of DVRPlayground.com:
Human Target is a full-throttle, action-packed thrill ride from executive producers McG (Terminator: Salvation) and Simon West (Con Air, Tomb Raider). Based on the popular DC Comics graphic novel and starring Mark Valley (Fringe), Chi McBride (Pushing Daisies) and Academy Award nominee Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), the series follows Christopher Chance (Valley), a unique private contractor who will stop at nothing, even if it means becoming a human target, to keep his clients alive.
We have an update on Tricia Helfer’s appearance in the upcoming FOX pilot, Human Target. According to Mania.com, Tricia is not signed for an entire series (should there be one), but will only make a (however, significant) appearance in the pilot episode. From Mania.com:
Mania.com has learned that filming of the pilot episode of DC Comics’ Human Target is underway right now in Vancouver. Seen on the set is none other than Battlestar Galactica femme fatale Tricia Helfer. Our sources tell us that Helfer is not part of the series cast. Rather she’s appearing as a major player in the pilot’s storyline.
Don’t forget Tricia will be appearing on NBC’s Chuck this upcoming Monday! We’ll be posting a more proper reminder at a later date.
Big project news, y’all! Tricia Helfer’s official site has been updated with news about two new TV projects for Tricia — a guest role on the Sci Fi Channel’s upcoming series, Warehouse 13, as well as a new FOX pilot, Human Target. Some people be busy these days!
Kicking things off with Warehouse 13, according to the source, Tricia’s guest role is that of FBI agent Bonnie Belski, a role for which she has just finished filming. We have no additional information as to which particular episode (or ’sodes) Tricia will be guest starring in, however the series itself premieres on July 18 2009 on Sci Fi. Check back with us for additional information and updates! Series synopsis courtesy of the Internet Movie Database:
After saving the life of an international diplomat in Washington D.C., a pair of U.S Secret Service agents are whisked away to a covert location in South Dakota that houses supernatural objects that the U.S. Government has collected over the centuries. Their new assignment: retrieve some of the missing objects and investigate reports of new ones.
In pilot season news, Tricia has signed on for the FOX drama pilot Human Target, for which filming is currently ongoing in Vancouver. Some of you will recall how Tricia signed a talent holding deal with Fox in April 2008, shortly after which her involvement in the FOX pilotInseparable was announced (of which there has been little to report since). At this point we have no additional information on Tricia’s contribution to the pilot, however we’ll of course be sure to keep you posted on any changes! Plot summary courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter:
Human Target, from WBTV, DC Comics and McG’s Wonderland, is based on the DC Comics title and centers on Christopher Chance (Mark Valley), a mysterious security freelancer who assumes the identities of those in danger, becoming the “human target” for his clients.
Tricia Helfer Fan congratulates Tricia on her new TV endeavors!
