Aw, it’s over guys. Earlier tonight, Acting Outlaws Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff made their last broadcast from the “LA La Ride”, arriving yesterday at their target destination the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. The 9-day ride from Los Angeles, CA was aimed at raising awareness and funds for the Gulf Restoration Network and Gulf Future.
Even though the ride is now over, do keep an eye on USTREAM and Tricia and Katee‘s respective Twitter accounts for any future tweets and broadcasts. And please visit www.actingoutlaws.org to find out how you can help advance the Acting Outlaws cause. Thank you!
They’ve finally arrived! Yesterday, Acting Outlaws Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff completed the last day of their 9-day “LA La Ride” from Los Angeles, California to New Orleans, Louisiana. The ride was and is aimed at raising awareness and funds for the Gulf Restoration Network and Gulf Future.
Tricia and Katee have been livestreaming from the ride via USTREAM every day to recap the day’s events. In case you missed any of the girls’ previous livestreams, their first, second, third, fourth (Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4), fifth (Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4), sixth, seventh and eighth broadcasts are still available for viewing on the USTREAM website. Unfortunately, their last night’s broadcast from the Voodoo Music Festival was cut short due to choppy video and poor audio (as you will be able tell by yourself from the frozen video frames). The girls have promised to try a live broadcast from the festival again tonight, but in the mean time check out last night’s video below:
Although the girls have now reached their target destination, we should still have at least one more broadcast to look forward to, so as always, be sure to keep your eyes peeled on USTREAM and Tricia and Katee‘s respective Twitter accounts for the streaming alert. We’ll of course be posting the clip post-broadcast here. Finally, don’t forget to visit www.actingoutlaws.org to find out how you can help advance the Acting Outlaws cause. Every little helps!

According to several newsblogs and websites, ABC has officially cancelled their new legal drama The Whole Truth, starring Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney. The network promises however to air all the remaining completed episodes of Season 1, which would include Tricia Helfer’s next week’s guest episode “Liars.” More via Zap2It:
The Whole Truth will not be getting a whole season. On the heels of ABC’s announcement of several full-season pick-ups, the series’ executive producer, KristieAnne Reed, tweeted the discouraging news on Oct. 25.
“ABC gave us the word,” she writes. “We will only make 13 episodes of #thewholetruth.”
The network had been reportedly on the fence about the low-rated series since its debut, but when Zap2it caught up with star Rob Morrow, he said ABC seemed optimistic.
And they still are — a little. ABC will continue to air The Whole Truth in its Wednesday time slot until it completes its 13-episode run. The network agreed to let the show continue production through to December to finish up the order.
Yesterday, Acting Outlaws Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff wrapped the first week i.e. day 7 of their 10-day “LA La Ride” from Los Angeles, California to New Orleans, Louisiana. The ride is aimed at raising awareness and funds for the Gulf Restoration Network and Gulf Future.
Tricia and Katee livestream from the ride via USTREAM every day to recap the day’s events. The duo will alert their Twitter followers every time they go live, so be sure to follow them at Twitter @trutriciahelfer and @kateesackhoff for their tweets and livestream alerts. Meanwhile, in case you missed their seventh broadcast last night, check it out below or on USTREAM; their first, second, third, fourth (Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4), fifth (Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4) and sixth broadcasts are also still available for viewing on the USTREAM website. Tricia and Katee didn’t actually do any riding yesterday, but instead stayed at their Dallas hotel to invite seven fans for a live broadcast from the hotel restaurant. Check out the 52-minute video below:
“This is kind of a drag, I can’t seem to hide anything from you.”
- Naomi
Hope y’all were able to tune in last Monday to Tricia Helfer appearing on FOX’s acclaimed psychological drama Lie to Me, starring Tim Roth and Kelli Williams. Tricia guest starred as Naomi in this week’s episode 3.04 “Double Blind”. Our recap as follows, please highlight to read:
When Dr. Cal Lightman (Roth) and his team begin to investigate a museum robbery gone bust, he unexpectedly makes a new acquaintance in a hospital waiting room. The mysterious Naomi pleads for Lightman’s help against her violent ex-boyfriend, and while the team is trying to find out which item the robbers were, and still are, interested in, Cal plays footsie with Naomi in his own home. It soon turns out that Naomi may not be who she says she is, and new questions regarding her and her involvement in the museum heist begin to arise as the two start playing one another. But how far do Naomi and Cal have each other figured?
It was very interesting to see Tricia in a new kind of role as Naomi, when she lately has played more the strong, tough female than the vulnerable woman, and unlike with some of her previous guest roles, had more to say this time than just meaningless dialogue. Definitely one of best TV guest appearances to date, especially character-wise. If you missed the episode, try catching a rerun!
Media-wise, we’ve updated the gallery with 404 720p HD screen captures of Tricia’s appearance on the show, while 11 site-exclusivevideo clips have been uploaded to the media archive. Hope you enjoy!
All clips are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. QuickTime and VLC. Please remember that although our gallery is open to everyone, access to the video section of our media archive requires user registration and/or logging in. Thank you.

Bichons! :D

At last, it’s here; Tricia and Katee’s feature for Self.com from the ongoing Acting Outlaws “LA La Ride”:
On Friday, October 22nd, actresses Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer kicked off a motorcycle ride from Los Angeles, CA to New Orleans, LA to raise funds and awareness for the Gulf area. [...] Sackhoff and Helfer explained in a press release that the intent of their ride is “to do our part to maintain the worldwide awareness of a natural disaster which has significant environmental and economic effects that will last for decades.”
The two actresses, who formerly starred together on Battlestar Galactica, will ride approximately 340 miles a day for eight days to promote the text to donate campaign, Gulf Future, a collaboration between the Gulf Restoration Network and the Gulf Coast Fund, that is committed to cleaning up and restoring the Gulf, ensuring coastal communities have the resources they need to fight for their future, and making sure we learn the lessons of the BP drilling disaster to keep this from happening again. Text to donate: “FUTURE” to 85944 to donate $10 to the Gulf Future campaign for Gulf Coast recovery.
“This ride is going to be a challenge, but is nothing compared to what the people and animals in the Gulf are experiencing. It’s the least we can do to continue to bring awareness to this manmade disaster,” Helfer said.
… And here’s the Day 5 coverage. Yesterday, Acting Outlaws Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff concluded the fifth “and toughest day yet” of their 10-day “LA La Ride” from Los Angeles, California to New Orleans, Louisiana. The ride is aimed at raising awareness and funds for the Gulf Restoration Network.
Tricia and Katee livestream from the ride via USTREAM everyday to recap the day’s events. The duo will alert their Twitter followers every time they go live, so be sure to follow them at Twitter @trutriciahelfer and @kateesackhoff for their tweets and livestream alerts. Meanwhile, in case you missed their fifth broadcast last night, check it out below or on USTREAM; their first, second, third and fourth (Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4) broadcasts are also still available for viewing on the USTREAM website. As with the day before, yesterday’s broadcast got chopped into parts due to USTREAM being busy and cutting off, and the girls also started a little early because of Tricia’s Lie to Me episode. Here are the clips (totaling at about 45 minutes), in consecutive order:
Those pining for their own Acting Outlaws tees will be happy to know the Acting Outlaws Web Store is now open! Although the store currently only offers tops, t-shirts (for both men and women) and bumper stickers, the website promises more items will be added in the future. A portion of all profits from the sale of the merchandise will go directly to the Gulf Future campaign. Go see what’s on offer at www.actingoutlaws.org!

Don’t forget to tune in tonight for Tricia Helfer’s guest stint as Naomi on FOX’s psychological crime drama Lie to Me, starring Tim Roth and Kelli Williams. Day 4! Yesterday, Acting Outlaws Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff concluded the fourth day of their 10-day “LA La Ride” from Los Angeles, California to New Orleans, Louisiana.
Meanwhile, in case you missed their fourth broadcast last night, check it out below or on USTREAM; their first, second and third broadcasts are also still available for viewing on the USTREAM website. Tricia and Katee had a bit of trouble with their broadcast this time, as just as they had yesterday promised to be on at exactly 8:30 PDT, they accidentally started broadcasting an hour early, while their second and third attempts were cut short by either a poor connection or a busy USTREAM. Although the four videos amount to a total of 55 minutes, their longest broadcast yet, don’t miss them because they’re absolutely worth a look. Here they are, in consecutive order:
