Tricia shooting ‘Christmas Share’ for Hallmark

Thanks to the Chesler/Perlmutter Twitter page, we have more information on Tricia Helfer’s “mystery” movie shoot.

According to C/P, Tricia is currently in Toronto, Canada to film Christmas Share, a Christmas TV movie for The Hallmark Channel. The film has yet to get an IMDb page, so not a lot of information is available on it at the moment, but according to the OMDC website, the film will be directed by Harvey Crossland. Filming is scheduled to go on until May 24th.

More details as we find them! :)

Update May 14: According to the Twitter pages of Tricia and Lategan Media respectively, Canadian actor Mark Lutz (Angel, Flashpoint, Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side) and American country music singer JT Hodges also star in the film. ‘Deadly Visions’ now ‘Dangerous Intuition’, new airdate May 11 and clip

Good news on Deadly Visions!

According to the film’s Facebook-page (now located at facebook.com/dangerousintuition), Deadly Visions has been retitled Dangerous Intuition and has a new airdate of May 11th on Lifetime. This is, of course, much sooner than the previous August release date, so don’t miss it!

Dangerous Intuition is directed by Roger Christian. Again, May 11th on Lifetime!

Speaking of title changes, Tricia’s upcoming indie comedy Scribble has according to the Internet Movie Database also undergone renaming, and is now known as Authors Anonymous. So far as we know, however, no release date has yet been set for the film.

Tricia’s friend and former co-star from Battlestar Galactica Katee Sackhoff has given a couple of great interviews recently in which she talks about (among other things) her friendship with Tricia, Acting Outlaws and the sexy 2013 calendar for the charity venture which is now available for purchase on Redbubble. Collider: Where did the name Acting Outlaws come from?
KATEE SACKHOFF: Actually, Mark Derwin came up with the name. He was on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, which is now finished [shooting]. He’s Tricia Helfer’s husband’s best friend. She’s known Mark for 15 years, and we all ride motorcycles together. It just was something where we were trying to figure out a gang name because we wanted to start a motorcycle club, so our motorcycle club name was the Acting Outlaws Motorcycle Club. We were the AOMC. So, when we were trying to come up with a name for the company, it made sense to steal the name from the motorcycle club because the motorcycle club consists of seven people, two of which are our significant others. We actually really wanted to have a motorcycle club, and then we realized how much work it was. You actually have to take your name and your patch to the organizations of motorcycle clubs and get it approved. You sit there with the Hell’s Angels, and all these big, bad motorcycle guys, and you’re like, “We’re a bunch of actors who want to call ourselves the Acting Outlaws Motorcycle Club. Is that okay?” So, we opted to not actually be a motorcycle club, even though we still call ourselves a gang.

ETonline: How did this calendar come about?
Katee Sackhoff: We were actually approached a few years ago by a company who wanted to do a calendar, but they wanted to retain complete ownership. We figured if there was a market out there for a calendar of us, we should own it and keep it under the Acting Outlaws umbrella so we can make sure it’s for the right charity. I mean, it’s a little less egotistical when it’s for charity. When it’s for a good cause, I’ll take my clothes off.

ETonline: Were there any photos left on the cutting room floor that you wish had made it?
Sackhoff: There’s actually one shot that was so beautiful, we’re going to save it for something else. In it, we’re embracing, nude. I mean, our vaginas were six inches away from each other and I kept screaming at her to stop laughing because it was making her boob get closer and closer to my face [laughs]. The whole thing was nerve-wracking, but my body looked so good at that time because I was working out so hard for Riddick, so I was ready.

According to Tricia Helfer herself on her verified Twitter account @trutriciahelfer, Tricia has signed on to star in the upcoming indie movie Deadly Visions from Battlefield Earth-director Roger Christian. Not a lot of information is available on either the film or Tricia’s role in it at the moment, but according to the DGCBC website the film is a TV movie with filming scheduled for November 19-December 6 in Vancouver, Canada.

Update Nov 21: First pic from the set of the film via Tricia’s Twitter account. The young girl in the picture will be playing Tricia’s daughter.

According to Tricia Helfer herself via her verified Twitter account @trutriciahelfer, Tricia is currently filming indie drama 37.

Recently filmed a comedy indie, starting a drama indie about ALS. Gonna be a tough one. My tear ducts better be ready. Hard disease. (Sep 28)

First day of filming for my character on ’37.’ starting with my last scene first. That happens so many times it’s almost funny…almost. (Oct 3)

Although Tricia gives no further information on the film, it is likely that she is talking about writer-director Randall Batinkoff’s upcoming feature film debut 37, which is currently filming in Los Angeles. Synopsis from Variety:

Story, based on an unpublished book written by Guy Blews, centers on a rocker (played by Batinkoff) who makes a pact to kill himself when he turns 37 out of guilt over the death of his brother. Several months before his 37th birthday and the release of his comeback album, he falls in love with a terminally ill woman.

Update Oct 11: Tricia has confirmed via Twitter that the movie is indeed Batinkoff’s 37. According to Tricia and actress Scottie Thompson’s recent tweets, Tricia will be playing the sister of Thompson’s Jemma, the “terminally ill woman” Batinkoff’s Adam falls in love with. A pic of Tricia on the set with Thompson and Randall Batinkoff has been added to our gallery courtesy of Scottie Thompson’s Twitter account.
