Hope you’ve been enjoying the holidays! :) A couple of new things from the December 18th Humane Society To the Rescue! Gala today.

First, we have a couple of lovely new photos of Tricia on the red carpet and at the gala ceremony. Tricia attended the event with her good friend, celebrity hairstylist Brian Magallones, who is also pictured in a couple of shots. Check them out in our gallery!

Tricia at Kitten Rescue’s 5th Annual Fur Ball

As with every year, Tricia Helfer was once again on hand last Sunday at Kitten Rescue‘s 5th Annual Fur Ball fundraiser at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood. A couple of reports from the event from Look to the Stars and LA Splash:

Battlestar Galactica star Tricia Helfer and Leverage star Aldis Hodge got in a bidding war over Trey Parker’s seats at his TONY award winning musical The Book of Mormon. Tricia ended up winning the seats but then Trey very generously donated a second set of seats and Kitten Rescue was able to raise even more money for the cause with a matched donation from Aldis Hodge.

This year’s 2012 Advocacy Award went to TV personality Jackson Galaxy, host of Animal Planet’s Cat From Hell. Jackson Galaxy also helped co-host the live auction which featured priceless & once in a lifetime experiences, such as the best seats in the house at the TONY award winning musical The Book of Mormon, donated by show creator Trey Parker valued at $3,000, which went to actress, Tricia Helfer.

Kitten Rescue are once again organizing their annual Fur Ball fundraiser on Sunday, October 7 at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, CA. Details from KittenRescue.org:

On Sunday, October 7, 2012, we will be holding our fifth annual Fur Ball. This year’s event will be held at the historic Avalon Theater in Hollywood, and will feature a wide array of fun and exciting ways for you to show your support for homeless animals.

The Fur Ball will start at 6 pm with hors d’ouevres and a cocktail hour, and the opening of our silent auction. At 7 pm, the main ballroom will open with music provided by DJ Kid Fish, and guests may enjoy our Monte Carlo theme by playing blackjack, roulette and craps tables with chips provided at admission. For those who prefer poker, we’ll be holding a poker tournament where guests may play with celebrities and compete for fabulous prizes.

If you would rather socialize, there will be plenty of opportunity in the lounge areas of the theater, and we have several treats in store, with a selection of passed and plated hors d’ouevres and entrees as well as a hot tea and coffee bar provided by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, a vegan dessert bar hosted by Fabe’s All Natural Bakery, and snack bars hosted by Pretzel Crisp and KIND. Whether its music, dancing, socializing, casino games or poker, there will be something to entertain everyone – and it all goes to support our volunteers’ efforts to bring an end to animal homelessness in our city.

All in for Animals is on Sunday, October 7th, 2012 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m at the historic Avalon Theater in Hollywood: 1735 Vine Street, Los Angeles, CA 900028. Valet parking is included with admission. We really hope to see you there!

New pics from ‘Space Marine’ TV spot, “Howlin’ For You” set and more

Just a couple of things today, mostly via Tricia’s official Twitter account @trutriciahelfer.

First off, we have a couple of gorgeous new pictures of Tricia on the set of The Black Keys‘ music video “Howlin’ For You” with director Chris Marrs Piliero and co-stars Diora Baird and Shaun White. Voting for Best Rock Video at the MTV Video Music Awards, for which the video is nominated, has now closed and the winners will be announced at the VMAs next week’s Sunday. Hope you got your vote in on time!

Meanwhile, Tricia’s friend and hairstylist Brian Magallones tweeted a terrific picture of him and Tricia on the set of a commercial for the “Space Marine” video game, presumably Warhammer 40000: Space Marine, which is coming out in the U.S. and Europe in early September. We don’t know that Tricia is in any way involved in the video game itself, but this does mean she’ll likely appear in a commercial/TV spot for the game soon.

Last but not least, Tricia has lent her voice to the character of Olivia Johansen in “Cassie”, a script developed by Randy Girdner on Amazon Studios. Check out the project page for the script for a 23-minute audio clip of Tricia reading her lines in studio by herself (it’s great!).

Hey guys! As you can see, we’re back after a couple of days’ downtime. After three great years with Our Fandom, we’ve now moved to a new home at Flaunt.nu. Many thanks to both for hosting us then and now respectively! :) Hopefully, you’ll find everything on the site is still intact.

And then for the obvious — we have a new design up. It’s a bit on the larger side than usual, but we really wanted to try something different and eye-catching. In case you’re wondering, the main picture originates from Tricia’s 2008 feature in L.A. Confidential magazine, while the stunning original background texture is from Fractured-Simplicity.net. We’re still ironing out a few kinks in the new look but it should work well enough in most browsers. Hope you like it!

Finally, a tiny bit of Tricia news. In case you’re wondering what she’s been doing for the past few days, since wrapping up Mistletoe Over Manhattan some two weeks ago, Tricia’s started working on her voice role as EDI in the upcoming Mass Effect 3 video game. A couple of images from the recording studio have been uploaded to the gallery.
