Canadian actress and former model Tricia Helfer is one of Hollywood's rising acting talents, best known for her portrayal of humanoid Cylon Number Six on Syfy's critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica. More recently, Helfer has starred in e.g. Andrew Paquin’s Open House and can currently be seen as Alex Clark on NBC's The Firm. Helfer is also an active benefactor of animal and environmental causes.

Hope everyone was able to tune in on Monday to the Season 9 premiere of CBS’ Two and a Half Men, starring Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones as well as Ashton Kutcher as the new series’ lead. As we predicted, Tricia Helfer made a small appearance in the episode as Gail, marking her third appearance on the show. Here’s a brief recap of the episode, 9.01 “Nice to Meet You, Walden Schmidt”:
Following Charlie Harper’s untimely and unfortunate death, his mom puts his beach house up for sale, which is then purchased by internet billionaire Walden Schmidt (Kutcher). Charlie’s many exes attend his funeral.
As Gail, Tricia makes only a quick cameo appearance at the funeral, but although her contribution to the episode is small, overall it is one of the series’ best imo. Despite the skeptics, Kutcher did a surprisingly good job on the show, and I for one was really glad that the writers chose not to hang on Sheen’s departure in any way and instead stuck to what the show has always been about — comedy. :)
Moving on, media coverage-wise, we’ve updated site with 8 HD screen captures and one video clip of Tricia on the show. As always, today’s new clip is in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. QuickTime and VLC. Please remember that although our gallery is open to everyone, access to the video section of our media archive requires user registration and/or logging in. Thank you.
Don’t forget to tune in tonight to the Season 9 premiere of CBS’ hit sitcom Two and a Half Men. The show will bid farewell to Charlie Sheen after eight seasons with a funeral for his character Charlie Harper in the season opener, and welcome Ashton Kutcher as the new series’ lead alongside Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.
Although details on the season premiere are still being kept under wraps, Charlie’s many exes are all rumored to appear in the season premiere. As some of you will remember, Tricia Helfer revealed she would be reprising Gail one more time on the show during the August Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR. Her character had a brief fling with Sheen’s Charlie Harper in Tricia’s March 2010 guest episode (her second appearance on the show), so keep your eyes peeled for her in tonight’s episode!
The season premiere of Two and a Half Men airs tonight at 9/8c on CBS.
Tricia Helfer will be making a third(!) guest appearance on CBS’ Two and a Half Men!
According to this video interview with Tricia from the ongoing Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, Tricia will be leaving the ride early to film a new episode for the show starring Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. As many of you will likely have heard, Kutcher will be stepping in to replace Charlie Sheen in the series’ upcoming ninth season.
“I can’t make the whole ride, I have to go home and film Two and a Half Men.”
“I film it next week, it’s all hush-hush, I don’t know anything — I don’t even know any details! I think I’ve a very small part [on the show]. Just exciting to be part of the first show back. I mean, the creators of the show Chuck [Lorre] and Lee [Aronsohn]… It’s just so well written, and Jon’s great, and the two times I worked on the show I had really fun experiences, so I’m just happy to be back.”
Tricia guest starred twice as Chelsea’s (Jennifer Taylor) stunning former college roommate Gail in the show’s 2009-2010 season. Presumably this is who she’ll be reprising in the new episode as well, and if that’s the case she could already be appearing in the September 19 season premiere, at least if this plot “spoiler” from Ace Showbiz is anything to go by:
Meanwhile, all or most of Harper’s ex-girlfriends will be featured in the new season opener which will air September 19 at 9 P.M.
Gail, as some of you will recall, had a brief fling with Sheen’s Charlie Harper in Tricia’s second guest episode, “Ixnay on the Oggie Day”.
The taping for a new episode of Men will take place this Friday, August 5 in front of live audience. To keep secrecy, some key scenes may be filmed separately with no audience and producers will reportedly ban press from the taping.
Shame that Tricia has to miss half the LifeRide for the filming, but great to hear she’s going back to the show. Can’t wait!
Yet another recent interview with Tricia Helfer from UGO.com. In this one, Tricia talks about a lot of miscellaneous things, among other things Dark Blue, wanting to appear on Sons of Anarchy, the many poor Sci-Fi roles she’s been offered post-Battlestar Galactica, her favorite TV guest appearance and the craziest fan question she’s ever been asked. Full article under the cut.
Tricia Helfer joins Dark Blue, and we talked about leaving Battlestar Galactica behind, whether she’ll show up on Sons of Anarchy, and more.
Getting It On The Regular
“I’ve done recurring appearances on Burn Notice and some guest roles, but this is the first series regular since [Battlestar Galactica]… I was certainly looking before that and have done a pilot or two before that, but to me, Dark Blue was kind of a no-brainer. It’s got an amazing producer line up with Jerry Bruckheimer, and there’s Warner Horizon. I think cable is where it’s at with drama, so I was certainly excited to be joining a cable network and TNT. It was an easy decision to be part of it once I was offered the role. And, I always wanted to play a cop or FBI agent. It was a great opportunity.”
Coming In On Season 2
“It’s definitely hard coming in the second season as a season regular because the cast and crew are already part of a team. Everybody knows everyone’s quirks and everything all works in a way. So when you come in, and you often come in as a role that is an equal, or you have the final say, coming in as an FBI role dealing with LAPD. It’s like okay, how am I going to fit in? But everyone was great and it takes awhile to get to know everyone, obviously. It’s a really good group of actors.”
Check out this video clip from Tricia Helfer’s official site, in which Tricia answers a couple of fan questions, as submitted to her via the Chat-section of her website. In the clip, Tricia talks about her experience working on Two and a Half Men, what the prospects are of a movie follow-up to the Battlestar Galactica series and whether or not she’d be open to one, and trying to figure out Twitter basics. This video being titled “Part 1,” there are likely more Q & A videos coming up — and we won’t, of course, object to that! Courtesy of TriciaHelfer.com:
Hopefully everyone was able to tune in last night to Tricia Helfer guest starring on CBS’ hit sitcom, Two and a Half Men. Tricia reprised her November 2009 guest role of Gail in yesterday’s episode 7.18 “Ixnay on the Oggie Day”. Here’s our coverage of the episode, beginning with a recap. The text has been hidden from plain view in case someone here missed the episode and wants to remain unspoiled, so please highlight to read:
Having dinner at a pizza parlor with Alan and Jake, a post-break-up Charlie unexpectedly runs into Chelsea’s high school friend, Gail. Both coping with broken engagements, the two end up sleeping together. When Chelsea then wants to get back together with Charlie, he finds himself in a sticky situation. Chelsea proves forgiving once, but a second time?…
Tricia Helfer was once again lovely as Gail, and was this time given a bit more material to work with even though her appearance overall was somewhat smaller than in last Fall’s episode, and as before the funniest lines were given to the main cast.
Media coverage-wise, we’ve updated the gallery with 195 HD screen captures of Tricia’s appearance on the show, while three site-exclusivevideo clips have been uploaded to the media archive. Enjoy!
All clips are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. QuickTime and VLC. Please remember that although our gallery is open to everyone, access to the video section of our media archive requires user registration and/or logging in. Thank you.

Looks like we’ll get to see Tricia back on Two and a Half Men sooner than we thought! According to TV Guide, Tricia Helfer will be reprising her November 2009 guest role of Gail on the hit CBS sitcom already on March 22. That means we’re still in Season 7, and the episode is no. 18 “Ixnay on the Oggie Day”. Episode summary from TV Guide:
Episode Synopsis: Tricia Helfer returns as Chelsea’s college friend, whom Charlie meets again; and Alan has a surprising effect on a patient (Frances Fisher).
Please note that March 22 is less than two weeks away! Don’t forget to tune in.
“You know what? I’m all filled up on crazy.”

More great project news! Tricia Helfer will be reprising her November ’09 guest role of Gail in a new episode of the popular CBS sitcom, Two and a Half Men, starring Charlie Sheen and John Cryer. According to Tricia’s official site, she is currently filming the upcoming episode (presumably belonging to an 8th season of the series):
‘Gail’ returns to the Harper house as Tricia is currently filming a second episode of the hit CBS show, Two and a Half Men.
Tricia debuted as Gail on the show last November, when she guest starred in episode 7.08 “Gorp. Fnark. Schmegle.” as Charlie’s girlfriend Chelsea’s sexy old schoolmate, coping from a difficult break-up by staying over at the Harper house.
Since the news comes from Tricia’s official site, we can call this as good as confirmed. As always, we’ll be posting specifics on Tricia’s upcoming guest episode as soon as such become available to us. Say tuned for updates!
As previously reported, Tricia Helfer guest-starred as Gail in yesterday’s episode of the popular CBS’ sitcom Two and a Half Men, 7.08 “Gorp. Fnark. Schmegle.” (previously titled “The Moustache Attachment”). Here’s our coverage of the episode, starting with our episode recap. As always, the recap contains spoilers as to the episode storyline, so please highlight to read:
Charlie and Chelsea are having dinner with Chelsea’s former college roommate Gail, when Chelsea invites Gail to stay with them to cope from a bad break-up. The sexy, stunning Gail instantly makes an impression on Charlie, Alan and Jake, and causes a particular headache to Charlie, being already involved with someone else. While Charlie dreams of threesomes with Gail and Chelsea, Alan fantasizes about hooking up with her, and both Jake and Berta find themselves admiring her amazing body. Worried of what Gail’s presence might do to his ongoing relationship, Charlie sends and unwitting but all the more smitten Alan to make a move on Gail, convinced his advances will drive her out of the house. Sure enough, it isn’t long before Gail thanks Charlie for his hospitality and makes a quicker-than-quick exit from the Harper residence.
Wasn’t it great to see Tricia doing something new again? Even though most of the funny lines were left to the main cast of the show, we thought Tricia did a great job as Gail. The gallery has been updated with 277 medium-res screen captures, while the media archive has been updated with six site-exclusivevideo clips of Tricia on the show. As always, we’ll do our best to obtain HD replacement caps for the site as soon as possible.
Anyway, enjoy the new material! Don’t forget only registered and logged in media archive users are able to access our collection of video clips; unlogged users will not be able to view said videos. Registration at our media archive is free and only takes a moment. Thank you. All new clips are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. QuickTime and VLC.
