Just a quick heads-up that Tricia Helfer has wrapped her scenes for the upcoming NBC pilot 17th Precinct in Vancouver, Canada.

Just wrapped on #17thPrecinct. In on Monday for pix but done filming my stuff!! Fingers crossed we’re back with a series. (Mar 25)

If the pilot gets picked up for a series, Tricia expects the first episodes to air in the fall.

The show has to get picked up to series first. If it does, we’ll shoot more eps & probably start airing in the fall. (Mar 22)

Check out also these couple of new images from the March 23 day of filming inside the Waterfall Building in Vancouver, courtesy of Susan Gittins.

Update Mar 28: Two pics of Tricia, Jamie Bamber, James Callis and Matt Long at the 17th Precinct Wrap Party in Vancouver last Saturday, via Tricia’s Twitter. Now we have only to wait whether or not NBC picks up the show.

Just a quick heads-up that we’ve updated the gallery today with 387 720p screen captures of Tricia Helfer as Number Six in the critically acclaimed 2003 Battlestar Galactica miniseries. The film quality being what it is, the caps aren’t as sharp as one might expect, but they’re still better quality than our previous caps (which were also about 250 more in number — we tried to cap sparingly this time). Hope you enjoy!

A terrific update on 17th Precinct today!

First we have these two new photos of Tricia Helfer and her former Battlestar Galactica co-stars James Callis and Jamie Bamber on the set of the upcoming NBC pilot in Vancouver, Canada, via Tricia Helfer’s official Twitter account @trutriciahelfer and YVR Shoots. If you’re in Vancouver and would like to know where the pilot is currently being filmed, please follow YVR Shoots on Twitter for almost daily updates.

There’s also some casting news: According to several news sources, actors Kristin Kreuk (Smallville), Stockard Channing (The West Wing) and Matt Long (Jack & Bobby, Mad Men) have joined the already confirmed cast of Tricia, Callis, Bamber and Eamonn Walker (The Whole Truth). While Channing will probably be a series regular, Kreuk will likely have a recurring guest role on the show — all this provided NBC picks up the pilot, of course. No word yet on what kind of a role Long has been cast in.

Finally, if you want to know more about 17th Precinct and related developments, a Twitter account and Facebook page have recently surfaced for the pilot. No word on whether or not either have any official affiliation with the production, but they could be worth bookmarking for the future nonetheless.

17th Precinct is a new drama that follows a police unit in the fictional town of Exelsior, part of a world ruled by magic. The ensemble has been created by film and TV veteran Ronald D. Moore, the creative genius behind the 2003 reboot of Battlestar Galactica. The show will be directed by filmmaker Michael Rymer, also known for his work on Battlestar Galactica.

Wow! According to Deadline.com’s exclusive report, Tricia Helfer has joined her former Battlestar Galactica co-stars James Callis and Jamie Bamber in series’ creator Ronald D. Moore’s upcoming sci-fi pilot for NBC, 17th Precinct. Details from the source:

The more, the merrier. Battlestar Galactica developer/ executive producer Ron Moore has tapped a third co-star from the hit Syfy series, Tricia Helfer, to join his new sci-fi project, NBC’s pilot 17th Precinct. The Sony TV-produced drama is set in the fictional town of Excelsior where magic and supernatural elements rule over science and revolves around the cops at the local 17th Precinct. Helfer will play Morgana, a necromancer, the magical equivalent of a coroner, who is an expert at manipulating the potions, tools, herbs and spells of her trade.

In the pilot, Helfer joins fellow Battlestar alumni James Callis and Jamie Bamber.

I mean to say… wow!! Congratulations, Tricia! Hopefully, the pilot will get to see the light of day — and soon!

Update Mar 7: According to Tricia via her official Twitter account @trutriciahelfer, filming for 17th Precinct has begun — and Tricia is a brunette!

First day on 17th today. Guess what, I’m a brunette now! (Mar 7)

The pilot is reportedly being filmed in Vancouver, Canada.

Update 2 Mar 7: First pic from the Vancouver set via Tricia’s Twitter. The new look is frakkin’ fantastic!

Tricia Helfer’s “T-Blog” has published another video Q & A, in which Tricia answers a selection of fan questions sent in via her official site. In this clip, Tricia talks among other things about her one-off stint on Chuck in 2009, the working chemistry she had with co-star James Callis on Battlestar Galactica, and responds to a couple of complimenting messages sent in by some of her fans. The video as follows:

If you have a question or comment for Tricia, please send it in to asktricia@triciahelfer.com. Tricia answers a selection of these fan questions from time to time via periodic Q & A videos just like the one above. Please note that not all messages will be responded to, and all messages are moderated by Tricia’s web team before they reach her. Keeping your questions and comments short and to the point might increase your chances of landing your message in a future “v-blog”. Good luck!

As promised, we’ve updated the media archive with new clips today. Check out 11 new site-exclusive video clips of Tricia Helfer reprising the role of humanoid Cylon Number Six in Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, the Edward James Olmos-directed second BSG TV movie that was released on Region 1/North American DVD and Blu-Ray last October and premiered on TV January 10 2010 (via Syfy, of course). Among other Six copies, Shelly Godfrey and a new “Tough Six” make prominent appearances in The Plan.

Personally, although I’m never one to say no to new Battlestar Galactica, The Plan just didn’t live up to my expectations. To me, the mystery that revolved certain characters, events and phenomena was such a pivotal part of the entire series that I thought the entire approach to the BSG universe in The Plan, to explain all the previously unexplained, wasn’t really what I would’ve liked to see. Although Tricia as Six was an enormous pleasure to watch as always, her contribution to The Plan as a whole isn’t considerable (though she does have a truly great scene as Six copy Gina, with Grace Park’s Boomer).

All clips are in .MOV format, which is playable in e.g. VLC and QuickTime. Please remember you must be a registered and logged in media archive user to access our collection of video clips; unlogged users will not be able to view said material. Registration at our media archive is free and only takes a moment. Thank you.

Spoiler Warning: Please note that some of the following clips contain major spoilers as to the outcome of this film and Battlestar Galactica in general.

“There’s been a vote. There’s going to be a truce. We just need to convey it to the humans. All of them.”
- Number Six

More updates on The Plan! Today, the gallery has been updated with 463 HD screen captures of Tricia Helfer as the various incarnations of Cylon Number Six in Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, the Edward James Olmos-directed TV film about the early days of the Colonies genocide, as told from the Cylon perspective. The Plan, as many of you will know, was released on DVD in late October this year.

Without giving away any major spoilers we can tell you that out of Tricia’s many roles as Six, Shelly Godfrey, a new, darker haired “Tough Six”, some nondescript blonde Sixes and another non-blonde, unnamed Six (who according to Battlestar Wiki is in fact Gina Inviere) all make an appearance. Caprica Six also briefly appears, although largely in old footage from the 2003 miniseries. Neither Dr. Gaius Baltar’s Virtual/Head Six nor Natalie are featured.

We will not be writing up a recap for The Plan as, unlike with Razor and the regular episodes, the plot is simply a bit too intricate to be put down in just a few words. We do hope you enjoy the new caps anyway (though please be advised they may contain significant spoilers), and hopefully, we’ll have some video clips for you soon as well. Do check back with us for those!

Series’ co-stars Tahmoh Penikett and James Callis were also active at the event.
