Canadian actress and former model Tricia Helfer is one of Hollywood's rising acting talents, best known for her portrayal of humanoid Cylon Number Six on Syfy's critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica. More recently, Helfer has starred in e.g. Andrew Paquin’s Open House and can currently be seen as Alex Clark on NBC's The Firm. Helfer is also an active benefactor of animal and environmental causes.

We have another little treat for you today: Six rare site-exclusive hi-res scans of Tricia Helfer in the September 1998 issue of the British Zest magazine. Hope you like ‘em!
Check out these stunning, rare scans of a young Tricia Helfer in a 14-page fashion spread in the September 1996 issue of French Madame Figaro, courtesy of kokobombon @ The Fashion Spot.
We have a small but delicious vintage treat for you today, as we’ve updated the gallery with six rare hi-res scans of Tricia Helfer in the October 1995 issue of French L’Officiel. Check out also our page about Tricia’s Modeling Career which has been updated with new information. :) Enjoy!
Just a couple of small new things in the gallery today. To begin with, we’ve updated the gallery with three digital scans of Tricia Helfer (and her LA home), as featured in the September 2008 issue of Canadian House & Home. If anyone has any better quality scans from this issue for us, please don’t hesitate to send them our way. :)
We’ve also updated the gallery with six hi-res scans of Tricia in the Fall 2009 issue of the Canadian hockey mag The Fourth Period. These scans were originally posted online by Tricia’s official site, however because they disappeared from the site with the revamp in 2010 we thought we’d preserve them by posting them here.
Just a quick heads-up that the Acting Outlaws‘ “LA La Ride” from last October will be featured in the upcoming April 2011 issue of the Baggers motorcycle magazine. From Clean Riding Style:
Two months ago, I followed the basic route Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper did in the making of classic 1969 biker flick Easy Rider. I rode with Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackoff, Hollywood actress/motorcyclists on a Charity Ride from L.A to Louisiana in Support the Gulf Restoration. 2200 miles 5 days, 2 guys and 2 Gals with 1 agenda, to ride long and hard. You can read the story in the April edition of Baggers Magazine.
Check out Tricia Helfer and two of her cats, Frankie and Lilly, as featured in the November 15 issue of OK! Magazine. Although the blurb says Tricia only has five cats, we’re pretty sure she actually has 10, all of which she recently counted up in one of her and Katee Sackhoff’s “LA La Ride” broadcasts (the full list comes in at about 7:20). Anyway, check out the scan of Tricia’s kitty page in the mag at our gallery!
More press coverage! Here’s another article and interview with Tricia Helfer from Access DirecTV magazine’s August 2010 issue. The two-page feature comes with a brand new outtake from Tricia’s last year’s Maximphotoshoot with Grace Park. Full article under the cut.
Breaking necks and riding hogs with Tricia Helfer — you up for it?
Spend your days trying to wipe out the human race, as Tricia Helfer did as the murderous Number Six on Battlestar Galactica, and you’re likely to take a few lumps yourself. Helfer’s penchant for doing her own stunts as BSG‘s sexiest Cylon led to two busted ribs — in a battle royale with Lucy Lawless, no less — and one severely jacked-up spine. “I had four discs replaced with artificial ones, two in my neck and two in my lumbar,” she says. “I had them done at the same time, which they normally don’t do because it’s such a difficult surgery. [Former NFL player] Brian Bosworth did both locations at once too.”
After four years on BSG, and a role as a knife-wielding home buyer in the upcoming film Open House, Helfer is now on the side of the righteous, as FBI special agent Alex Rice on the series Dark Blue. “Playing a villain is fun, but I’ve always wanted to play FBI or police,” says the Alberta, Canada, native. “I still get to kill people, but now it’s part of my job.”
Check out this photographed preview of Tricia Helfer on the cover of the Mexican men’s magazine, Deep, issue July 2010. The cover shot originates from the earlier of Tricia’s two smouldering Maximphotoshoots from last year. We’re unable to get this magazine where we are, though, so if anyone would like to share their scans with us, please do so as it would be most appreciated! Thank you.
As most of you will surely remember, Tricia Helfer and fellow Battlestar Galactica Cylon Grace Park were featured on the cover and inside the November 2009 issue of Maxim (US). The feature coincided with the DVD release and TV premiere of Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, which was being promoted at the time.
Today, the gallery has been updated with nine site-exclusivescans of the issue’s digital special. While most of the pictures we’ve seen here before, the quality of these is superior to any earlier previews, and the magazine even snuck in two Tricia photos we hadn’t seen before. Be sure to check them all out!
“My dream is to have my own animal shelter. Rescue animals just seen to inherently understand that you’ve helped them.”
- Tricia Helfer in People (US)
Last week, we reported of Tricia Helfer being briefly featured in the current issue of People (US) magazine, a preview of which you’ll find to your right, courtesy of Tricia’s official site. In the article, Tricia discusses her love for animals as well as mentions one of her all-time favorite animal charities, the Los Angeles-based animal shelter, Kitten Rescue.
Now, Kitten Rescue’s YouTube account has a 30s video clip from the set of the new People photoshoot, which has been embedded below for viewing. According to the vid details, Tricia is featured in the November 23 2009 issue of the magazine. If anyone would like to send in a scan from the magazine, please do so! Thank you.
More news via the official site! Tricia Helfer’s official site reports Tricia is featured in the current issues of People (US) as well as the Canadian hockey periodical, The Fourth Period.
While we don’t know which particular issue of People Tricia is featured in (November 2009?), it is presumably the issue we originally reported of already in August this year. In the issue, Tricia talks about her animal charity work and Kitten Rescue. We’ll of course do our best to obtain the magazine for scans, however in the mean time, check one out at Tricia’s official site.
In the Fall 2009 issue of The Fourth Period, Tricia has a six-page feature, including a brand new photo from a shoot we haven’t seen before (previewed to the right in this post). Again, Tricia’s official site has the scans, so be sure to have a look!
Both issues are on newsstands now. If anyone would like to send in their scans from either magazine, please do so, as this time around we might have a bit trouble obtaining them ourselves. Thank you.
“I just hosted a kitten adoption, and a few people actually called me Six. Two were just adopted the other day. I don’t know if that’s really for your readers, but that would be really cool if it were!”
- Tricia Helfer in Maxim
As promised, we come today bringing you our site-exclusive hi-res scans of Tricia Helfer and Grace Park’s smouldering feature in the November 2009 issue of Maxim (US). Notice the two-page collage of outtakes from the shoot, some of which we have not seen here before! Enjoy.
