Just a quick heads-up that we’ve updated the gallery with two preview collages of Tricia Helfer and Grace Park’s full 2009 photoshoot for US Maxim. Unfortunately, the outtakes are not available to us in decent quality in a larger size, but we thought you’d like to see them anyway, so we instead made two collages of the small images we have.

Breaking necks and riding hogs with Tricia Helfer — you up for it?

Spend your days trying to wipe out the human race, as Tricia Helfer did as the murderous Number Six on Battlestar Galactica, and you’re likely to take a few lumps yourself. Helfer’s penchant for doing her own stunts as BSG‘s sexiest Cylon led to two busted ribs — in a battle royale with Lucy Lawless, no less — and one severely jacked-up spine. “I had four discs replaced with artificial ones, two in my neck and two in my lumbar,” she says. “I had them done at the same time, which they normally don’t do because it’s such a difficult surgery. [Former NFL player] Brian Bosworth did both locations at once too.”

After four years on BSG, and a role as a knife-wielding home buyer in the upcoming film Open House, Helfer is now on the side of the righteous, as FBI special agent Alex Rice on the series Dark Blue. “Playing a villain is fun, but I’ve always wanted to play FBI or police,” says the Alberta, Canada, native. “I still get to kill people, but now it’s part of my job.”

Tricia is 55. of Maxim’s Hot 100

Not perhaps the most career-oriented of recognitions, but worth a mention nonetheless. According to Just Jared and several other news sources, Tricia Helfer has landed in 55th place in Maxim‘s annual Hot 100 line-up of women (though the official list has yet to be published on the Maxim website). In 2009, Tricia placed 75th on the list, which means she’s climbed up 20 places from last year. Bet Tricia and Grace Park’s (60.) last year’s Maxim cover feature had something to do with that. Congrats, Tricia!

We’re back! And we come bringing some new goodies as well. Today (and throughout this Fall), we’ve updated the gallery with 250+ new medium- and hi-res photos of Tricia Helfer at various public events 2005-2009 + replaced some 50-60 small images with better quality ones. Since this is quite a mix of new and updated photos/albums, we’ve listed all updated albums below using the following labeling:

(N) – new additions; (R) – better quality replacements; (NA) – new album

If I could make a suggestion or ~~two~~ three, I’d particularly advise you to check out the fantastic hi-res additions we made to our 2009 Monte Carlo Television Festival Day 5-album, which now features some absolutely adorable(!) photos of Tricia and hubby Jonathan Marshall at the event. Also, the ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Mid-Season Finale Celebration-album from June 2008, featuring some really awesome footage of Tricia and BSG co-stars Katee Sackhoff and Mary McDonnell, has been updated with a ton of better quality replacements to those earlier minimal pics — highly recommend you have a look. Finally, there’s this, this and many other great new photos of the BSG team at last year’s Sci Fi Channel Upfront Party.

But really, those are just the highlights. There are a lot more gems among the rest of the new photos as well. Anyway, without further ado, enjoy!

As most of you will surely remember, Tricia Helfer and fellow Battlestar Galactica Cylon Grace Park were featured on the cover and inside the November 2009 issue of Maxim (US). The feature coincided with the DVD release and TV premiere of Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, which was being promoted at the time.

Today, the gallery has been updated with nine site-exclusive scans of the issue’s digital special. While most of the pictures we’ve seen here before, the quality of these is superior to any earlier previews, and the magazine even snuck in two Tricia photos we hadn’t seen before. Be sure to check them all out!

More new appearances! On Tuesday, October 20, Tricia Helfer and husband Jonathan Marshall attended the Maxim November 2009 Cover Party in West Hollywood, CA, where Tricia looked absolutely amazing in a black, figure-hugging mini. As most of you will know, Tricia and Battlestar Galactica co-star Grace Park are featured on the cover and inside the celebrated issue. Series’ co-stars Tahmoh Penikett and James Callis were also active at the event. The gallery has been updated with our first 63 82 medium- and hi-res photos of Tricia et al. at the event — as always, more will be added as they are found. Enjoy!

Looks like the promotion for Battlestar Galactica: The Plan is starting to gear up, as IGN reports Tricia Helfer and Grace Park will grace (no pun intended) the November 2009 cover of Maxim (US). The website furtermore revealed the issue cover as well as a first outtake from the new photoshoot, both of which have been added to the gallery, as well as a behind the scenes-video from the shoot, which has been embedded below for viewing. As always, we’ll be doing our best to obtain this issue for hi-res scans. Check back with us for updates! From IGN.com:

Case in point, our exclusive reveal of our two favorite Cylons on the cover of Maxim: Grace Park and Tricia Helfer. Numbers Eight and Six are back to make both newsstands and the interwebs better places, just in time for Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, which makes DRAIDUS contact with DVD and Blu-ray on October 27 (see what we did thar?).

Grace and Tricia reprise their roles as Toasters to provide fans with serious backstory surrounding the Cylons’ plan to make humanity extinct. The first wave of their plan is to hypnotize us with the nice little nothings they are almost wearing.

With there having been very little noteworthy news on Tricia to post of late, I instead decided to update the gallery with some long overdue scans.
